Who I am: My name is Jodi.  I am a follower of Jesus, I am married to the most wonderful man in the world and we have three beautiful young adult children. I taught special education for 7 years before staying home full time with our children.  I turned my love of photography into a career in 2009.  When I'm not taking photographs or caring for my family, you can find me volunteering at church or in the community, reading, enjoying nature/camping, doing crafty things, drinking coffee, sprucing up a room in our home or learning a new recipe.  I am an introverted extrovert; I keep my circle small and close, I care deeply about racial justice, I like history- but I would much rather see it in person rather than read about it. Fall is my absolute favorite season- but I love the changes of seasons the Midwest brings, I love dark chocolate, I love to swim and water ski (though I don't ski much these days), I'm starting to get into vegetable gardening (though I enjoy the harvest more than the planting and weeding), I keep a gratitude journal and write in it every morning. I like to travel, but I like to come home.

Why I do what I do:  Family is my most important earthly treasure and I love to capture them in their element as well as their beauty and spunk. I know the value of creating lasting memories and that is why I would love to capture the faces and personalities of the special ones in your life.

What you can expect: I am an on location photographer.  Photo sessions can take place outdoors or indoors. As a mom, I realize that on days of photo sessions, babies will cry, toddlers will throw tantrums, kids will be silly or frown for the camera...this is all part of life with children and I love to capture the sad, serious and silly moments as well as their beautiful smiles. Capturing a person's true essence is what making memories is all about. I aim to make each photo session relaxed, fun and at a pace everyone can handle. My goal is to give you 100% satisfaction with your photos and great customer service.
